Critical power (CP) and anaerobic capacity (W’) can be tested using your own power meter, either indoors or outdoors, if you know how a test should be conducted and how the test data should be analyzed. When you know your CP+W’, it is possible to determine with much greater accuracy (compared to e.g. 20 min FTP) what type of training approach is right for you, create individualized training zones and plan workouts tailored just for you.
We start with a review (30 minutes) of how to perform the two test rounds. If you connect a TrainingPeaks account to us, we can insert the test at a suitable place in your training plan with suggestions for training the last two days before. You then send us your test data and we will return within a week with an analysis and documentation, which we will review (30 minutes) how to interpret. In general, we recommend 2-4 test rounds per year to get the most out of your tests, but even a single occasion provides valuable information.
